About
veiseule.ai is a free, open-source project that produces AI-powered community translations of open-source software documentation. We believe that language should never be a barrier to using free software.
The name is coined from the German weise Eule ("wise owl"), evoking Athena's owl and the project's AI-driven translation pipeline. Our mascot is Sage, a scholarly owl.
What We Do
- Translate open-source documentation into dozens of languages using AI-assisted workflows
- Publish and maintain translated documentation freely on the web
- Coordinate community review and improvement of translations via Crowdin
